Description
Your First Spider, a Little Bigger — Starter Set: Juvenile Tarantula
A version of the "First Spider" starter set for those who, rather than beginning with the youngest stage, would prefer to start straight away with a juvenile — a tarantula of around 2-4 cm body length, large enough to see clearly, whose behaviour you can observe without a magnifying glass, and which doesn't need to be fed a microscopic fruit fly. The choice comes from the same gentle species as the basic version — simply one stage further along in development. Keeping it remains easy and safe for beginners, yet rewarding to observe from the very start.
The set includes:
- A juvenile tarantula of your choice — chosen from gentle species, at the L6 stage or larger. Sexed where possible.
- A larger ventilated container — matched to the size of the juvenile, with room to spare for several molts.
- An artificial plant — decoration and an additional hide.
- A piece of cork bark — a natural hide and the foundation of the layout.
- Ready-prepared substrate — suitably chosen for the species.
- Specialist tweezers, 20 or 25 cm — longer, suited to juveniles (larger prey, greater reach).
- Branded ArgiopeTerra mister — for misting.
- Feeder insects — a portion of the right size for the first feedings.
- Care guide — the basics of keeping juveniles.
Packaging: a black branded ArgiopeTerra box bearing our slogan, orange paper shreds inside, the spider packed in a transport-safe form — prepared with the same care as every set in our range and covered by our live arrival guarantee (DOA).
Who it's for: those who want to keep a tarantula that's already "grown-up" in size (without waiting 1-2 years for it to grow), anyone after a gift that's immediately visible in its enclosure, or a keeper who wants to skip the youngest stage. The price is higher than the spiderling version owing to the spider's size and age — more of the rearing work is already behind us. Choose your species, and we'll prepare the juvenile for shipping.
